Burdoc Farms has been owned and operated by the Shepherd family since 1942. With over 650 acres of open fields and forest, Burdoc Farms has been in the Shepherd family for over 80 years. The farm was once a tobacco and cattle farm, producing national champion Shorthorn Beef Cattle in the 60’s. When Keith and Sara Shepherd took over operations in the 90’s the farm was converted to a conservation farm, with a focus on; timber management, wildlife habitat, recreation and agri-tourism. 

In 2016, they decided to expand the business and build a year-round building, Keith Glen, in another location of the farm. Burdoc Farms hosts 60 to 80 weddings a year with couples coming from all over the country and a few from overseas!

We have 2 venues, the Tobacco Barn Venue and Keith Glen Venue. The Tobacco Barn Venue is open from the last weekend of April until the mid-October. Keith Glen Venue is open year-round. 

The Tobacco Barn has 2 barns, one for your ceremony, the chapel barn,  and one for reception. It is rustic, vintage and has a farm feel with 6 chandeliers hanging all over the barn.  The barns sit in open fields and both barns have lots of string lighting. There is a deck with an outdoor fireplace and an overlook that will make you feel like you are in the mountains. 

The Tobacco Barn has 3 ceremony sites, the overlook, the woodlands and the chapel barn. 

Keith Glen venue is modern and industrial, with lots of exposed iron beams and a 30-foot glass wall. There is a beautiful stone fireplace and an outdoor ceremony site with a huge wooden arbor by a pond that has a lighted fountain and swans. 

Keith Glen has 2 ceremony sites. The ceremony pad with concrete and a arch that can be decorated the way you want, and the field with a grove a trees. Both sites are unique and one of a kind. 

Both venue packages include tables, chairs, ceremony seating, kitchen, bar area, dressing rooms and bathrooms for your guests. 

Centrally located, Burdoc Farms is close to many metropolitan areas and only 3 miles from Interstate 169/Pennyrile Parkway. Clarksville, TN, Madisonville, KY, Central City/Greenville, KY are only 30 minutes away while Bowling Green, KY, Nashville, TN, Paducah, KY, Owensboro Ky, Henderson, KY and Evansville IN are only 1 to 2 hours away.
